The History of a Street Precinct CD-ROM uses a visual interface to allow easy navigation through the details of each property in the precinct.

The interface is based on a map of the precinct which allows you to drill-down to the property you are interested in. The precinct has been divided into five areas. As you move your mouse over the Precinct Map, a block of properties will change colour to indicate the current area. Clicking on the highlighted area will display a larger map of that area.

When you move your mouse over the Area Map, each property will change colour as it is selected. Clicking on a highlighted property will display the details for that property. If you allow the mouse pointer to hover over a property, the address of the property will be displayed to assist identification.

Clicking on a property will display a list of residents and owners for that property plus 1 or more photos. Additional photos can be viewed using the display arrows ( ) as explained below.

If you are looking for a specific person, you can use the lists of Residents and Owners to see if they are associated with the precinct. The list are arranged alphabetically to make it easy to find people.
