William was married to Emma Sophia Anderson in 1886. William was a carpenter. By the time they moved into 237 Bridge Street in 1900 they had 5 children all born in Port Melbourne and two more were born there shortly after.
The children were:
Grace Elizabeth Jenny born 9th November 1887
Wilhelmina Jesse Agnes born 15 Ferbuary 1890
William Lockhart Bronner born 16th November 1891
Alma Evelina born 20th April 1893
Elsie Emma Augusta born 28th September 1895
Andrew Edward was born 2 June 1900
Margaret Lily 21st January 1902.
All the children were baptised at either Graham Street or Farrell Street Methodist churches.
Although he moved out of the house in Bridge Street for a time between 1913 and 1918, he owned the property from 1900 until he sold it to Michael Woodruff senior.
