Frank was born in Germany about 1855. He married Sarah Jane Barry/Mulligan who was born in Port Melbourne.

Frank Robert and Sarah Jane had six children, all born in Port Melbourne during the time they occupied the shop:

Amelia Mabel born 18th August 1901, baptised at the Methodist Church in Graham Street 10th September the same year

Evelyn Maud born 16th October 1902

Frank August born 28th March 1905, died in Melbourne 1967

Nellie Isabella born 3rd April 1906. Evelyn, Frank and Nellie were all baptised at Graham Street Methodist on the same day, 29th May 1906

Thomas Telford born 1908

Ethel Irene May born 1912.

It is amazing that all these people lived in this tiny shop and house and that their father operated a business from it at the same time.

Frank August was the third child of Frank Robert and Sarah. With his mother he was the joint occupier during these five years.
