Parents deceased, wife: Mrs E JENNINGS, born Port Melbourne. Enlisted with wife at 129 Heath Street. No circular returned. Cousin: 1657 Pte Alexander John Thomas ASHWORTH, Brunswick, killed in action, 25 September 1917, The Port Melbourne Standard, 2 September, 1916 suggested he left two children and had seven brothers and four sisters. Brothers, 3564, Ernest, and 4733, Percy both enlisted from Port Melbourne. By an odd coincidence, there was another Albert Victor JENNINGS from Port Melbourne who volunteered, but was rejected – later to become the founder of the A V Jennings construction group.
