Gunner, 14 Field Artillery, killed in action 5 August, 1917, Belgium, aged 24, commemorated Sanctuary Wood Cemetery, Ypres, Belgium.

Wife: Mrs Violet Falkingham COX, Born Brisbane. A 22-year-old labourer when he enlisted Maryborough, Queensland, with his wife and son Jonathan at North Melbourne, but later 1 Michie Street. The circular prepared by AWM staff have his widow as Mrs V MICHIA, 19 Nott Street, but the name is an obvious transcription error). He appears to have enlisted in August, 1914 and been discharged as medically unfit before re-enlisting in February of the following year.
