Parents: Frederick and Mrs Catherine ALLAN, born Port Melbourne (Attestation), South Melbourne (circular), educated SS. He was shown as a 19-year-old carter (Attestation) or timber worker (circular) when he enlisted with his parents shown in Bendigo. Awarded Military Medal, gazetted in Australia 19 April 1917; died of shell wounds to the right thigh and left arm, 20th Casualty Clearing Station.
