Abraham Lincoln Brown’s only son, Alfred Abraham Brown joined the Royal Australian Navy as an Able Bodied Seaman for a seven-year term on 30 September, 1912, his mother Sylvia shown as next of kin at 178 Ross Street, Port Melbourne.
He is noted on the AWM Roll of Honour as dying of pneumonic influenza at Port Melbourne on 15 May, 1919 – it is not clear whether this was at his home or elsewhere in Port Melbourne where there was a Naval training base. He was interred in Williamstown General Cemetery. Abraham Brown’s archive reveals that he died 11 June, 1936
