Sapper, 2 Field Engineers, killed in action, Belgium, aged 26, commemorated Hooge Crater Cemetery, Passchendaele, Belgium.

Parents: Donald and Mrs Margaret CHRISTIAN (both late), born Port Melbourne, educated Nott Street SS, Raglan Street. Enlisted as a 22-year-old carpenter with a brother John Quirk CHRISTIAN at 60 Nott Street. The circular was returned by an aunt, Mrs Isabella Blanche DIVEN? from 330 Bay Street. John later enlisted as 1054, 8 Light Trench Mortar Battery giving an aunt, Mrs Dusting HARVEY at the Nott Street address as next of kin.
