Enlisted as a 19-year-old candle maker with his father as next of kin at 371 Princess Street, Port Melbourne. Served in the Citizen Military Forces, Sturt Street Barracks. Brothers 2477, William Joseph ADAMS and 7437, Claude Raymond ADAMS enlisted, the latter discharged as medically unfit after 256 Days in camp. Circular returned from 87 Crockford Street, father then deceased. Three other brothers, two sisters.
