495 (Father: late, mother: Mrs Mary Ann WATSON (previously HAYNES), born Annandale, N.S.W., Enlisted giving his address as 161 Station Street, South Melbourne, but a Death Notice placed by a friend M. BOGLE at the address shows it as Port Melbourne (there has never been a Station Street in South Melbourne); mother shown at Newtown, Sydney as next of kin. He was 28 when killed, his mother suggested he came to Melbourne at 14 years of age.  No known grave)
