“I know that a man names Power (37th) was killed about 2nd January at the Eouplines Sector, near Armentieres while he was bringing up tea from the cook house to the front line. He was with L. E. Ayres (37th) and George Boon (37th). The three were standing together in the open, and were strapping their Dixies on their shoulders when a shell burst, and they all three were killed absolutely instantaneously. They were all buried at Erquinhem nar Armentieres where there is a big cemetery … Description:- Little, short, thick-set man, rather like L. E.
