Parents: T and Mrs Fanny STANLEY, born Port Melbourne. He enlisted 141 Pickles Street, a 22-year-old salesman with mother as next of kin. Brother, 40, John Stanley enlisted from the same address showing his father c/o a gold mining company in South Africa as next of kin. Their mother is marked as having died in April, 1920, the servicemen’s father at Deepdene and only ever shown as the initial T inserted. No circular returned.

STANLEY.-On the 6th October, at Alexandria, died of wounds received at Gallipoli, Signaller Stanley, dearly loved eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Stanley, Port Melbourne, and loved brother of Corporal Jack Stanley, now at Dardanelles.
