The Standard newspaper reported on four cousins serving at the front.

William Thomas Henry Prest, son of W Prest of Fishermen’s Bend,
Thomas Alfred Prest, son of John Prest of Fishermen’s Bend,
Henry Thomas Prest, son of Henry Prest of 155 Nott Street, and
William Thomas Libbis, son of Mr & Mrs Libbis of Coburg.

All four are the grandsons of William Prest, ex-engine driver, of Graham Street.

    “Private W. T. H. Prest, among the wounded, was born at Port Melbourne. He is twenty years of age, and was a corporal in the senior cadets till they disbanded. He then joined the 52nd Regiment at Port Melbourne, and rose to the rank of sccond lieutenant, and also got the certificate of proficiency for senior cadet stretcher bearers. He joined the First Australian Imperial Expeditionary Force, in the 5th Battalion. He has an uncle (Private B. Cobban) and three cousins (T. A. Prest, H. T. Prest and W. Libbis) m the force”.
