Private killed in action 27 August, 1918, France, aged 24, commemorated Suzanne Military Cemetery No. 3 (Plot I, Row A, Grave No. 2), France.

Mother: Mrs Mary Elizabeth MUFFET, born Burnley. A 23-year-old labourer, Muffett enlisted with his mother as next of kin, 116 Nott Street (spelt Knott), later 211 Princes Street and 104 Princes Street. A Death Notice suggests he was an only son with one sister. No circular returned.
