    The following Death Notice for James suggests a third brother “Willie” (William Henry McKENZIE, born South Melbourne, 1899) serving with the Royal Navy.

    McKENZIE — Killed in action on the 19th July, 1916 (previously reported missing), Private James, beloved sou of James and the late Emma McKenzie, brother of Alf. Clara, John, Alick (A.I.F.), Willie, (Royal Navy, England), and Mattie
